"We were all pretty solemn that morning. The sky was gray and the sea was calm.
When we arrived at the dock, the captain had everything ready to go, so with
very little in the way of conversation we set off for the sea.

"Having traveled for what seems to be only a matter of minutes, the captain shut the engines down, thereby letting us know we had arrived at the site of the service. We had gathered
on deck as he brought out a beautiful bracket, covered with flowers, and carefully set
on the rail.

"At that very moment, a most wonderful thing happened. The clouds opened ever so slightly, casting a soft, gentle glow over the boat and the sea around us. It was absolutely perfect.
Then, with a few well-chosen words, the captain lowered that beautiful basket into the
          open arms of the sea.

              "He shared a beautiful poem with us, a poem about remembering but letting go.
               As we began to  leave that beautiful spot, my family spread a few bouquets on
               the water, and each of us said our private goodbyes.

                    "We all agreed that the service couldn't have been better and Mom would have                     loved it. Goodbye Mom".
